In version 1.5.0, we introduced the Mighty Eagle downloadable content. If you get stuck in the game, you have the opportunity to purchase a can of sardines, which you use to lure out the elusive Mighty Eagle. This phenomenal creature will the soar from the skies to wreak havoc and smash the pesky pigs into oblivion!

Mighty Eagle will help you skip the toughest obstacles, but there's a limit: you can only use the aid of Mighty Eagle to pass a level once per hour. In other words, when you pass a level with Mighty Eagle, you need to wait an hour to use him again to pass another level.

Is that all? Far from it! Mighty Eagle includes all new gameplay goals and achievements! In each level that you already cleared using the regular birds, you can smash away freely and try to fill up the destruction gauge! If you want to smash your way through every level leaving nothing behind, you have every incentive to do so!

Mighty Eagle is an in-app purchase in Angry Birds and costs $0.99/£0.59/€0.79 to download. One-time purchase, unlimited use!

You can purchase Angry Birds from the App Store for $0.99. Angry Birds HD for iPad is $4.99.

A Majority of First Wave iPad 2S Will Be 3G Models

No comments:

A majority of iPad 2s which are being produced for launch are GSM/UMTS or CDMA 3G capable, according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of Concord Securities.

AppleInsider notes that Apple is expected to offer the new iPad in three versions: a WiFi only model, a GSM/UMTS version for AT&T and most other carriers globally, and a CDMA/EVDO model for Verizon (and possibly other CDMA carriers in the future). These versions are said to be code named K93, K94 and K95, respectively.

In speaking to AppleInsider, Kuo said his checks in the Far East indicate production figures of 38 percent for the K93 WiFi model, 46 percent of the K46 3G model, and 16 percent for the Verizon-compatible K95 CDMA version. This indicates that Apple apparently expects most iPad 2 users will opt for 3G models, even on Verizon where new iPhone buyers have the option to pay $20 for hotspot service through their new smartphone.

Together 2.4 In The Mac App Store

No comments:

Reinvented Software has announced the release of Together 2.4 for Mac OS X. Together is an application for storing, previewing, editing and searching all kinds of files. Version 2.4 adds support for OpenMeta tags, bookmark file import and bookmark content searching. Together is now also available on the Mac App Store.

Together 2.4 adds support for OpenMeta tags. OpenMeta is a technology that allows applications to save metadata, such as tags, to the filesystem so that these may be searched by Spotlight and used other applications. Together will import tags from OpenMeta and update OpenMeta tags with the tags you use on items in its library.

Also in version 2.4, Together can import bookmarks from the HTML files that are exported from most web browsers and online services such as Delicious, preserving any folder structure used. When importing from Delicious, Together will also import the tags and notes for the bookmarks.

Additionally, Together includes content searching for bookmarks files. Normally, Together uses Spotlight for content searching, but Spotlight does not index these files. Together overcomes this limitation with its own fast indexing and search.

Pricing and Availability:
Together 2.4 is available from the Mac App Store or the Reinvented Software web site as a 15-day trial that can be unlocked upon purchase. A full license costs $39.95 (USD) and upgrades from KIT 1.x are $14.95. Education and bulk discounts are also available through the Reinvented Software site. Version 2.4 is a free upgrade for all registered Together 2.x users.

New Rumors: Carbon Fiber Body iPad, NFC Accessories, 7-inch iPad Still Alive

No comments:

A new iLounge report reveals that the iPad 2 could get a Carbon Fiber body, that Apple is working on RFID/NFC accessories, and that a 7-inch iPad is still being tested. Their source cautions that some of this information is very preliminary.

RFID/NFC Accessories:
Apple is reportedly developing accessories to communicate with NFC capable iPads and iPhones. "In the most basic implementation, an accessory could announce its presence and potential functions to an iPad or iPhone without the need for a Bluetooth or similar connection; our source suggests that an otherwise simple case could include a radio chip so that an inserted iPhone or iPad could go into power-saving hibernation mode automatically. More complex accessories will go far beyond that."

New Body Material:
Apple may be planning to use Carbon Fiber rather than aluminum for the next generation iPad. "Apple has already applied for a patent on this, and apparently second-generation iPad shells made from the new material have already been spotted. Apple has in the past worked simultaneously on more than one version of a device enclosure before making a late-stage switch to another, but it is apparently testing these new shells now in the hopes of reducing the weight of iPads."

The 7-inch iPad Lives:
"A key iPad, iPhone, and iPod component provider has been asked by Apple to develop a part for use in a seven-inch iPad. Our source believes that this part is for a new version of the device that is still in development, and doesn't know whether it will go into production. "

Apple is rumored to be announcing the iPad 2 at an event next week.

Verizon Announces Most Successful First Day Sales in Their History

No comments:

Verizon Wireless announced its most successful first day of sales in the history of the company after it sold out of iPhone 4 pre-orders in less than one day.

"This was an exciting day," said Dan Mead, president and chief executive officer for Verizon Wireless. "In just our first two hours, we had already sold more phones than any first day launch in our history. And, when you consider these initial orders were placed between the hours of 3 a.m. and 5 a.m., it is an incredible success story. It is gratifying to know that our customers responded so enthusiastically to this exclusive offer – designed to reward them for their loyalty.

"I am proud of our employees who worked tirelessly to strengthen and scale our systems, enabling unprecedented customer orders through our website. Overall, it was a very good day," he added.

Mead also said customers will have another opportunity at being among the nation’s first to own an iPhone 4 on the Verizon Wireless network.

"Yesterday's launch set the pace for next week when we open up sales to everyone across America."

The general market launch of the iPhone 4 on the Verizon Wireless network will occur on Feb. 10. The company will open its more than 2,000 Verizon Wireless Communications Stores at 7 a.m. It will also be available at all Apple store locations, Best Buy, select Wal-Mart stores, and online at www.verizonwireless.com and www.apple.com.

Apple to Unveil the iPad 2 at a Press Event Next Week?

No comments:

Apple may be planning to unveil the iPad 2 at a press event scheduled for next week, according to MacNotes.de sources.

Our sources from the accessories business told us Apple is planning an event next week where they're going to showcase the iPad 2 as well.

A release date between 2nd and 9th April seems quite likely, sources - not only ours - pointed to a release in early April. The only question is: When will the iPad 2 be presented? One manufacturer of iPad accessoires now told us Apple is planning on holding an event next week.

Rumors suggest the device will be thinner, have an anti-reflective display, gain two cameras, and get a dual core processor and SGX543 graphics.

*thanks iclarified*

And guess what we got our hands on! These are from a trusted distributor we have used for a long time, as you can see there are no extra cutouts on the top or sides, one new things this case shows is a camera and a wider speaker! More believable if you ask us! If anyone would like to purchase these cases leave a comment and we will arrange something, however we can't guaranty that this is 100% the real iPad, so any purchases a final sale...

iPad App Store Now Shows Which Apps Have Been Purchased

No comments:

The iPad App Store has been updated to show which applications you have already purchased. Previously you needed to press the 'Buy' button to install an application even though it was already bought. Of course, you wouldn't be charged for something you already owned but it was possible to misremember a purchase and make an accidental transaction.

Apple has now replaced the 'Buy' buttons for 'Install' buttons on applications which have already been purchased by the account signed into the App Store. Apple also added new search filters to the iPad App Store yesterday.

Take a look below...
