No comments:

Apple has updated their MobileMe Gallery app with iOS 4, iPad, and Retina Display support.

Take your MobileMe gallery everywhere with a beautiful viewing experience on your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch. FEATURES:
● View your entire gallery including password protected and hidden albums
● Flick through photos and pinch to zoom in for more detail
● Rotate to see photos in landscape
● View your friends’ gallery photos and movies
● Access previously viewed photos when offline
● Easily share a link to an album

AT&T Releases Home Voicemail Viewer App

1 comment:

The AT&T VM Viewer app makes it easier to stay on top of your AT&T Unified Messaging SM voicemail messages and fax messages (if available) or your AT&T U-verse Messaging SM voicemail messages directly from your iPhone.

Similar to looking at messages in your email inbox, VM Viewer lists your messages, allowing you to choose the order in which you listen to them. You can learn more about the service here.

You can download AT&T Voicemail Viewer (Home) from the App Store for free.

Facebook to Increase Photo Sizes By 8x and Launch New Photo Viewer

No comments:

Facebook has announced that they will be increasing the allowed size of photo uploads by 8x and will launch a new photo viewer.

-----
We're increasing the size of the photos stored from 720 pixels to 2048 pixels on the largest edge, for an 8 times increase overall. I'm really excited to be launching this feature. To see the quality of these pictures, you can view National Geographic's "Top-Rated Your Shot Photos (September)" album or Sports Illustrated's "Football Across America" album. Download high-resolution photos by clicking the "Download" link.

The new viewer makes it simpler and faster to navigate photos. You can now view photos and even whole albums without even having to go to a new page. Instead, the photo opens in the center of your screen, and you close it when you're done. There's no need to go back and forth between pages or reload the page.

A new light box (the dark frame around your pictures) makes viewing photos a richer experience. We also rewrote all the code for the viewer from scratch, so paging through photos will be noticeably faster.
----

The site has also improved its Flash uploader which will now let you tag multiple photos in the same album all at once. The changes are rolling out beginning today to all Facebook users.

Google URL Shortener Gets Website, Generates QR Codes

No comments:

Google has announced a website for its URL Shortener (goo.gl) and stealthily added a neat feature that generates QR codes.

Today we’re giving goo.gl its own website (http://goo.gl/, of course!). We don’t intend to overload goo.gl with features, but we do want it to be the stablest, most secure, and fastest URL shortener on the web.

Features:
● Stability: We’ve had near 100% uptime since our initial launch, and we’ve worked behind the scenes to make goo.gl even stabler and more robust.
● Security: We’ve added automatic spam detection based on the same type of filtering technology we use in Gmail.
● Speed: We’ve more than doubled our speed in just over nine months.

A neat feature that was not included in the announcement is the ability to generate QR codes by just adding .qr to the end of your shortened url.

For example, http://goo.gl/eM85 will take you to iClarified.com. http://goo.gl/eM85.qr will display a QR code that when scanned will take you to iClarified.com.

TinyUmbrella Can Now Save SHSH Blobs for the New Apple TV

No comments:

TinyUmbrella has been updated with the ability to save your new Apple TV's SHSH blobs.

While updating the UI I decided to slip in Apple TV support. This incremental update will allow you to save your SHSH for your shiny new Apple TV. With some amazing things just around the corner, it's very important to save your SHSH to allow you to restore your Apple TV to its initial factory iOS version. Enjoy.
