Send Texts to Groups of Friends

No comments:

Group Text SMS is a new, free app that allows users to quickly and easily create groups of contacts users can send a text to. Rather than having to manually add each name through the Messages app, users can create a group and use it time and again. Available now through the App Store, Group Text SMS is developed by Intelligenti who publish the popular Tips & Tricks - iPhone Secrets apps.

After publishing Tips & Tricks, one of the most frequently asked question was 'how do I send a text to a group of friends without re-entering them every time'? This isn't possible using the built-in messaging App, so we created Group Text SMS. Designed to be as simple and easy to use as possible, the look of the app perfectly matches that of the Contacts app. From opening the app, it takes just two steps to create a group. Users can then name the group and add or delete contacts from each group to keep them up to date.

This app is great for inviting friends to a party, for a drink or just organizing a day out. It saves so much time as users no longer have to add single contacts to their messages at a time. This takes all the hassle out of texting a large group of people. There is no hidden catch to this app, users do not need to register to use it, and their friends do not need the app to receive messages (Usual text fees apply) and it is free to download.

To deliver this app for free, Group Text SMS also integrates iAds as we believe group messaging should be a lot easier on the iPhone. Therefore Group Text SMS is the perfect solution to a common problem without being complicated to use.

Pricing and Availability:
Group Text SMS 1.0 is free and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Social Networking category.

App Popular has announced the release of App Popular Recommendations 4.0, available as a free download exclusively from the iTunes App Store. The new version lets users access a daily "stream" of personal iPhone iOS app recommendations. By simply "liking" 5 or more of their favorite apps, users receive day-to-day custom app suggestions. They are encouraged to add these apps to their "want" list to receive free price change alerts via push notification messaging. Users may further "like" or "dislike" apps they purchase from their "Apps I Want" list, thereby seamlessly fueling additional recommendations.

"We are excited to continue to help people discover iPhone apps with this effortlessly accessible personal recommendation engine," says creator John R. Haigh.

Version 4.0 also offers an alternative hybrid search engine that complements the normal App Store search results. Search can be accessed with one tap from the main menu and results may be refined using a flip screen price filter. Price range options in US dollars include: all, free, $0.99, $1.99-$4.99, $5.99-$9.99, $10.99 , or any combination.

App Popular Recommendations uses these member default lists to create the top 100 "Apps Most Liked" and "Apps Most Wanted".

App Popular utilizes Apple's iOS push notification service to help users track App Store price changes and save money. Push notifications are currently available only for apps downloadable worldwide. To alert users to deals and trends throughout the day, the application also offers a "Hot Apps Stream" to view price changes of currently ranked apps, new #1 rankings, apps entering and leaving the top 10 and the latest changes to the "Top Picks by Members". The stream currently tracks the United States & United Kingdom's (Free & Paid) "Top Overall," "Top Grossing, and "All Games" categories.

Google Officially Announces Multiple Sign-in Support

No comments:

Google has officially announced support for Multiple Sign-In, allowing users to be signed in with three accounts at the same time.

Now, you can visit google.com/accounts and click the link next to "Multiple sign-in." After you sign into your first account, you can sign in with up to two additional accounts from the new accounts menu in the upper right hand corner of Gmail, then easily toggle back and forth between them. You can even open multiple Gmail tabs — one for each of your accounts.

Google notes that there still are some restrictions:

1) Not all Google services support multiple account sign-in yet. For the services that don't support it (like Blogger and Picasa Web Albums), you'll be defaulted to the first account you signed in with during that browser session.

2) We’re still working on making Gmail and Calendar work offline with multiple sign-in. If you rely on offline access, you probably don't want to enable this feature quite yet.

3) Multiple account sign-in only works on desktop browsers for now, so if you use Gmail on your phone's browser you won't see this option yet.
