Verizon to Switch to Tiered Data Plans This Month?

No comments:

It looks like Verizon is planning to follow AT&T's lead in charging customers more for data, according to Engadget.

We're hearing that Big Red intends to move to some sort of tiered bucket strategy on July 29. We don't have details on whether the pricing will be identical to AT&T's ($25 for 2GB, $15 for 200MB), but we imagine it'll be within shouting distance if not.

Geohot Preparing for Jailbreak Release?

No comments:

Geohot may be preparing for a jailbreak release according to a tweet sent out by mikecohenn.

Before canceling his Twitter account Geohot said that all future jailbreak updates would be announced via his friend:

please follow my good friend @mikecohenn for all future jailbreak updates

Today mikecohenn tweeted:

What's a good time to make it ra1n?

Mikecohenn is indeed a friend of Geohot's as photos from his Twitter feed confirm.

Despite the message it doesn't seem to make sense to release a jailbreak when Comex's is around the corner.

Beyond the core game, there is a RPG style level progression and tournament ladder. You can complete missions against the Shadow Warriors, or challenge other player's decks. Each battle you fight will gain you experience, and at each level you will be rewarded with Novice Card Packs which contain 3 random common cards. At higher levels you can start to earn Expert Card Packs which have a chance of uncommon cards. For those of you who simply can't wait to play a quality TCG, beta signups are now open for Shadow Era online.

Drivers Hear and Reply by Voice with Text'nDrive

No comments:

Text'nDrive has launched the first iPhone application to read and reply to emails with intelligent speech technology. Designed to help curb the increase in accidents caused by distracted driving while texting or emailing, Text'nDrive enables drivers to listen to and respond to email messages by voice using any hands-free device, so they can keep their hands on the wheel and eyes on the road. No other app allows drivers to reply by voice. iPhone users can currently use the Text'nDrive app to read and respond to their emails while the SMS text feature will be added shortly.

In-car speakerphones, wired connections, Bluetooth headsets, and manufacturer-installed hardware are all supported. Text'nDrive marries road safety and text and email connectivity for the first time.

Many countries and jurisdictions have adopted legislation prohibiting the use of mobile phones while driving unless a hands-free device is used. In North America, 19 states and six provinces have already enacted these laws while most others are applying partial bans or are in the process of passing similar legislation. Text'nDrive offers an easy-to-use solution for drivers who wish to stay connected and avoid costly fines and the dangers associated with texting and emailing while driving.

A recent study from the University of Utah found that each time a driver writes or reads a text message they take their eyes off the road for almost five seconds and increase their risk of a collision by up to 23 times.

"Texting and emailing while driving has unfortunately become commonplace and is the cause of numerous accidents. These incidents alone prove the danger of texting and emailing while operating a motor vehicle" said Text'nDrive CEO, Daniel Robichaud. "We are thrilled to present Text'nDrive(TM) as the innovative solution which we hope will entice more responsible driving habits and ultimately make the roads safer for everyone."

Pricing and Availability:
There are both free and pro versions available. Text’nDrive 1.0 is $19.99 USD (or equivalent amount in other currencies) and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Navigation category. For more information on Text'nDrive's features and benefits, please visit Text’nDrive online.

Comex Is Not Waiting for iOS 4.1 to Release Jailbreak

No comments:

Comex has announced that he is not waiting for iOS 4.1 to release his jailbreak.

I'm not waiting for 4.1 so I hope everyone has SHSH blobs saved. :p

SHSH blobs for 4.0.1 or 4.0 are fine; AFAIK there are no substantive differences except the bars :)

It is imperative that you save your SHSH blobs using one of the tutorials below:
● Windows
● Mac

Once the jailbreak is out you will be able to unlock your phones using UltraSn0w. The iPhone Dev-Team has announced that they will be adding the iPhone 4 unlock to ultrasn0w as well.
